The Problem

As the second phase in a multi-facility renovation project, Columbus Recreation & Parks needed new HVAC and boiler systems at the Lazelle Recreation Center.

The Solution

GTC worked in the fully occupied building in a phased construction plan to replace the boilers and HVAC system. We successfully solved an actuator install problem and were awarded three additional Recreation & Parks projects following completion of the project.

 

Our Installation Included
  • New fencing around condensing units
  • New, energy-efficient condensing boilers and a new condensing unit
  • Updated time and temperature controls
  • New HVAC system with all-new heating and cooling pipe distribution systems
  • Variable air volume (VAV) multizone systems and custom VAV air handlers
  • New ductwork distribution systems, direct digital controls, and CO2 monitors for outside air
  • Cooling added to gymnasium
  • Evaluation of electrical and running diagnostics on air conditioner compressor
